He was predeceased by : his mother Sandra R. Lane; his stepfather R. Alvin Lane; his grandmother Thelma Robinette; his sister Lovelia Graham; and his uncle Walter Harmon.

He is survived by : his wife Angel Belcher; his daughter Lydia Belcher (Kenny); his stepsons, Donovan Treadway (Valerie) and Jonathan Treadway; his father James Rector; his stepmother Karleita Rector; and his brothers, Lyle Belcher (Margaret) and Jerry Robinette. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
