He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Sherrill and Gertie Trivette Sherrill; and his son Jimmie David Sherrill Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Sherrill; his children, Jeff Franklin of Bethlehem, NC, Jane Corley (Gary) of Hiddenite, NC, Angela Reynolds of Fort Mill, SC and Sonya Barker of Newton, NC; and his sisters, Patsy Sherrill and Joyce Jasper. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (7500 NC-127, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery (7500 NC-127, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
