We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2025, at the age of 92, Lonnie L. Shew (Taylorsville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. T. R. Shew and Beulah Porter Shew; his wife Carfene Clark Shew; his daughter Darlene Shew; and his grandson Doug Deal.
He is survived by: his pet Walking of Tennessee; his children, Wanda Shew Deal (Lee), Gene Shew (Debbie) and Jimmy Shew (Glenda); his grandchildren, Christy Bryant (Scott), Brandon Simmons, Delena Sharpe (Chad), Stephanie Wilson (Shannon) and Christopher Shew; his brother Reece Shew; and his caregiver Danyelle Walsh.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Service (193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
