He was predeceased by: his parents, Phifer Jenkins and Daphne Childers Jenkins; his wife Virginia Jenkins; and his brothers, Billy Jenkins, Alvis Jenkins and James "Jimmy" Jenkins.
He is survived by: his son David Jenkins (Debbie Yee); his granddaughter Alyeska Yee-Jenkins; his niece Terri Jenkins; his sister Jane J. Frye (Gene); and his sibling's children, Sherri Lloyd (Billy), Scott Frye (Kim) and Byron Frye (Peggy).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Liledoun Baptist Church (2628 Liledoun Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be given to Gideons International, P.O. Box 517, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
