He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Tomlinson Swaim, Sr. and Maxine Evelyn Kennedy Swaim. He is survived by: his children, Caroline Swaim Hill (Mark) of Thomasville, Christy Swaim Barker (Sam) of Thomasville and John Everett Swaim of Thomasville; his sister Patricia "Pat" Ann Baker of Wilmington; and his grandchildren, Austin Jackson Hill (Rachel), Emily Caroline Hill (Jacob Hitch), Abbey Josephine Parrish and Norah Allison Parrish. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
