Eva Carolyn Mahaffey Strickland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Carolyn Mahaffey Strickland of Thomasville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Raymond Mahaffey and Pauline Pennington Mahaffey; her husband Gene Fay Strickland; and her brother Gary Mahaffey. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Raymond Turner (Dorinda) of Thomasville, Michael David Turner (Anita) of Thomasville, Victoria Lynn Turner Holland (Winston, Jr.) of Thomasville and Gidget Faye Jones (Brian) of Mebane, NC; her grandchildren, Brett Alan Kennedy (Emily) of Trinity, Alex Cannon (Kerri) of Thomasville, Jordan Jones of Mebane, Elizabeth Victoria Smith of Thomasville, LeeAnna Lambirth of Mooresville, NC, Dakothah Lambirth of Mooresville, NC, Justin Holland (Vanessa) of Rowan County, NC, Winston Charles Holland, III (Christy) of Mt. Airy and Brandon Holland (Tracy) of Pinnacle, NC; her great grandchildren, Madelyn Elizabeth Cannon, Emett Banks Kennedy and Briley Allison Kennedy; and her siblings, Patsy Graybeal (Guy) of Creston, NC, Betty Ann Richardson (Fred) of Lansing, NC, Joyce Mahaffey of Lansing, NC, Thomas Mahaffey (Martha) of Creston, NC, Dean Mahaffey (Carol) of Creston, NC and Neal Mahaffey (Becky) of Creston, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church (3855 Johnson St, High Point, NC 27265). A reception will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
