She was predeceased by : her parents, Bunnie Lunsford and Madeline Duncan Lunsford; her husband Raymond Allen Hicks; and her siblings, Sidney Lunsford, Oscar T. Lunsford "Hoot", Bunnie C. Lunsford "Tee", Willie James Lunsford "Doc", Mary Ann Lunsford and Hilda Gammon.
She is survived by : her children, Diane Clayton (Virgil) of Roxboro, Gail Hicks-Smith of Wilmington and Ron "Ronnie" Hicks (Tamara) of Lewisville; her brother Charlie Lunsford of Durham; her grandchildren, Josh Clayton, Chet Clayton, Travis Smith, Brandon Hicks, Adam Smith and Casey Foster; and her great grandchildren, Kadin Brooks and Willow Clayton.
