She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonnie Blalock and Jennie Painter Blalock; and her husband Nelson Thomas Cothran. She is survived by : her children, Rickey Lee Cothran (Yvonne) of Timberlake and Debbie Cothran Clayton (Steve) of Roxboro; her sister Wiliah Ree Blalock Satterfield of Hillsborough; her grandchildren, Stephen Nelson Clayton (Laura), Rickey Lee Cothran II and Tammy Annette Cothran; and her stepgrandchildren, Audra Ange and Nicole Ferrell. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
