It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle Autry Bauguess of Traphill, North Carolina, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Ethel Bauguess; his siblings, Justus, Leon, Lindberg, Holand Bauguess and Mary Ruth Combs; and his grandson Anthony Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Bauguess; his sons, Jason Bauguess (April) of Traphill and Danny Bauguess (Peggy) of Elkin; his sister Iverene Billings of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Colby Bauguess (Rose), Maison Bauguess and Kaydence Hinson; and his great grandchild Atlas Bauguess. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stoney Ridge Baptist Church (2087 N Lomax Rd, Traphill, NC 28685). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Stoney Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery (2097 N Lomax Rd, Traphill, NC 28685).
