It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd O. Hoffman Jr. (Tryon, North Carolina), who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Harley Sven Eklund and Mary Fulweider Eklund of Osceola, NE; his sisters, Shird Rydman (Bob) and Phyd Engdahl (Wally); his brother-in-law Gregg Eklund (Barbara); and also Trip.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Eklund; his children, Lloyd Oliver Hoffman III, Ann Hoffman Thomas of Seattle, WA, Frederick Eklund Hoffman "Rick" of Trappe, MD, Katherine Hoffman Brown "Kate" of Annapolis, MD and Elizabeth Hoffman Maust "Beth" (James) of Midlothian, VA.; and his grandchildren, Abbey Thomas Brewington (Nick) of The Gambia, Stuart Thomas of Seattle, WA, Mimi Brown Reese (Kevin) of Naples, FL, Bridget Brown Bailey (Cole) of Philadelphia, PA, Chase Brown (Cami) of Charleston, SC and Meredith Brown of Charleston, SC.. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and their children.
