He was predeceased by : his son Matthew Russell Dawkins; and his sister Cynthia Dawkins Moore. He is survived by : his children, Shannon Nord (Marshall Nord), Allison Dacus (Robert Dacus) and Ben C. Dawkins, IV (Sharon); his grandchildren, Anderson Keller, Avery Keller, Mattingly Nord, Grace Dawkins and Catherine Dawkins; his wife June; and his brother Franklin Dawkins (Christel). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
