It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Debbie Kay Childers of Valdese, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Annie Laverne Hamrick and Joe David Childers; her husband John Martin Richards of Ravenswood, WV; her daughter Victoria Richards of Lenoir; her granddaughter Roselyn Kay Brown; and her siblings, Thomas Childers (Stacey) of Claremont, Dwight Childers (Lisa) of Shelby, Jesse Lail of Statesville, Robin Childers Hopper (Carlos) of Shelby, Paula Childers Bridges of Shelby and Melina Thomas (Lee) of Statesville. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other children.
