She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen A. Ramsey, Sr. and Fannie Benfield Ramsey Gladys; her stepmother Lillian G. Ramsey; her husband James O. Thomas; her sons, James O. Thomas, Jr., Michael S. Thomas, Sr. and Robert A. Thomas; and her siblings, Margaret R. Black, Paralee R. Tolbert, Arlene R. Stewart, Glen A Ramsey, Jr. and Doris R. Abee.
She is survived by: her children, Miriam J. Pace, Deborah L. Thomas and Shane Buchanan (Lola). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
