He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Walker Whitener; his brother Terry Whitener (Melanie Whitener); his sibling's children, Lindsay Loyer (Brian Loyer) and Jeremy Whitener; his great-niece Lily Loyer; and his great-nephew Tyler Loyer.
