It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Shelton Briley of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nollie Shelton and Gladys Eason Shelton; her husband James Walter Briley; and her brother John Marion Shelton. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Briley Winstead (Dennis); her grandchildren, Angela Winstead Carter (Frederick) of Riverview, FL and Christopher Dennis Winstead (Carrie) of Apex; her great grandchildren, Grace, Rebecca and Hannah Winstead; and her sister Mary Jane Huneycutt (Jim) of Charlottesville, VA..
