It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Goodson of Vanceboro, North Carolina, born in Creedmoor, North Carolina, who passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ulysis Jones and Sudie Jones; her former life partner Joseph Higgs Goodson, Sr.; her brothers, Jack and Allen Jones; and her grandson-in-law Jordan Godley.
She is survived by : her husband Joe Goodson; her children, Debbie Bunn (Henry), Donna Harris (Charles), Diane Hobbs (Randy) and Joe Goodson, Jr. (Suzy); her grandchildren, Brooks Bunn (Stephanie), Kelley Phillips (Daniel), Tyler Harris (Basak), Ryan Harris (Meghan), Randle Hobbs (Nicole), Carly Hobbs Godley, Sarah Goodson (Madison) and Trey Goodson (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Eva Bunn, Vivian Bunn, Hayden Phillips, Henry Phillips, Charlie Harris and Jack Harris.
