It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie Fornes McLawhorn of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Cletus Fornes and Lena Frances Fornes; her husband Lonnie Bruce McLawhorn, Sr.; her son Lonnie Bruce McLawhorn, Jr.; and her siblings, Billy Ray Fornes, Heber Fornes and Mary Holmquist.
She is survived by: her grandson Adam Bruce McLawhorn (Jenna); her great grandchild Stetson McLawhorn; and her sister Louise Carawan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
