It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lennie M. Fornes of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Linwood Fornes; her parents, Thaddeus Miller and Neva Miller; and her siblings, Thaddeus Coleman Miller, George William Miller, John William Miller, Alton Roscoe Miller, Emily Christenson, Alice Caesar, Lula Davis and Ruth Miller.

She is survived by : her children, Lester Fornes, Gerry Fornes (Elizabeth), Charlie Fornes (Wendy) and Gloria Fornes Creech (Rodney); her sister-in-law Muriel Fornes; and her grandchildren, Brent Andrews (Misty), Jeffery Andrews (Kimberly), Crystal Polson (Jason), John Fornes, Taylor Fornes (Sarah), Skylar Fornes and Chris Webb (Ana). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
