The memory of Lorraine Green Shinn of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2025 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Stuart Shinn; her parents, Frances Callahan and William Green, Jr.; and her friends, Barbara Puryear, Jan Evans, Judy Beasley and Mary Freshwater.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Shinn-Simpson (Jeffrey) of Durham and Gena Shinn Henry (Bobby) of Grimesland; her grandchildren, Olivia Lorraine Simpson of Winston-Salem, Julia Simpson Meister (Daniel) of Durham and Stuart Matthew Shinn of Grimesland; her great grandchildren, Joseph Jeffrey Meister and Audrey Olivia Meister; her cousins, Lee Walton, Sherry Haywood, Faye Holmes and Lori Freshwater; and her pet Buddy Rowe.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory - Greenville (2100 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
