Though Melissa Ratcliffe may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Melissa Ratcliffe touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Alton Ratcliffe. She is survived by: her mother Lona Presser Ratcliffe; her sister Robin Ratcliffe Atkins (Chris Atkins); her nieces and nephews, Meredith Atkins and Will Atkins; her pets, Astrid and Ushi; and also, Madyson Grace Burrell and Andrew Thomas Burrell.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory - Greenville (2100 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858).
Flowers are welcome, but donations can also be made to the East Carolina College of Nursing in her honor.
