She was predeceased by : her husband Junior Welch; her parents, Grover Luke Powell and Mary Elizabeth Connor; and her brother Lamar Powell. She is survived by : her children, Carl Michael Rippy, June Rippy and Carla Mull; her grandchildren, Jimmy Parker Jr., Jeannie Sheppard and Wayne McDonald; and her pet Sophia. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
