She was predeceased by: her parents, John Oscar and Loreen McLamb Rich. She is survived by: her sons, Tres Brown and Scott Brown; her siblings, Helen Bowen of Hood River, Oregon and John Rich; and her granddaughters, Abigail Francis Brown and Melissa Elaine Brown of Youngsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wake County SPCA in Elaine's memory.
