She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clayton Davenport and Irene Lashley Davenport; her daughter Sheryl Medlin; and her brothers, Jimmy Davenport and Charlie Davenport.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Medlin Newell of Durham, Lisa Annette Langdon of Raleigh and Alton Medlin, Jr. (Donna) of Creedmoor; her siblings, John Davenport (Sandra) of Greensboro and Peggy (Jerry) of Georgia; and her grandchildren, Renee Haywood (Tim), Tiffany Temple (Matt), John Jones (Rosa), Mike Jones, Chris Simmons, Josh Simmons, Brittany Presley, Cassandra Medlin and Erica Medlin. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
