It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Matthews (Wake Forest, North Carolina), who passed away on August 14, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Bell Matthews; his sons, Paul Matthews and Brian Matthews; and his grandson Eric Hoyle. He is survived by: his daughter Aleta Hoyle of Rutherford College, NC; his sister Colette Naso; his grandchildren, Caroline Thomas and Jason Hoyle (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Noah Hoyle and Michaela Hoyle.
