He was predeceased by: his parent Charlie H. Ratledge; and his siblings, Betty Ratledge and Billy Ray Ratledge. He is survived by: his parent Arlene Baity Ratledge; his children, John David Ratledge, Jr. (Hilda) and Julia Diane Ratledge (Anthony Sinyard) of Mocksville; his sister Charlene Hudson (Jim) of Mocksville; his grandchildren, Renee Davis (Nick), John Dustin Ratledge, Stephen, Shauna, Aryn, Aric and Avery Sinyard; and his great grandchildren, Lillian Davis and Emerson Sinyard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
