He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Linnea Rose Mills; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Erskine and Nick Dombalis. He is survived by: his wife Joanna Smith Mills; his sister Suzanne Mills Erskine; and his sister-in-law Melissa Dombalis of Raleigh. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
