He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert A. Mason and Edith George Mason; and his siblings, Tommy Mason, Rachel Conley and Sis Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Watson Mason; his daughters, Tammy Mason Ray and Jersey "Dolly" Watson; his grandsons, John Michael Ray (Destiny) and Jacob Mason Ray (Trina Kouns); his great grandchildren, Colton Mason and Wyatt Mitchell Ray; and his siblings, Lionel, Don, Buddy Mason and Beth Wishon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Olivet Baptist Church1245 Mount Olivet Church Rd, Franklinton, NC 27525 in his memory.
