She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cowan and Janet Dykes Cowan; and her husband Carter Grant. She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Cameron Pierce (Richard) of Charlotte and Alice Grant Hogans (Daniel) of Arlington, VA; her sister Jean Gillespie (Ronald) of Motherwell; her grandchildren, James Hogans and Catherine Hogans; her sibling's children, Joyce Gillespie of Edinburgh, Scotland, Robert, Laura Dillard of Winston-Salem and Debbie Grant, III of Easley, SC.; and also Scotland.
