He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Blake and Sophronia Tyndall Daniel; and his former wife Betty Jean Moore Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Laverne Brock Daniel; his children, Betty "Irene" Daniel of Harrells and Charlie "Perry" Daniel (Janice) of Harrells; his stepchildren, Kay Tyndall (Norman) of Kenansville, David Brown (Sherry) of Wallace and Dennis Brown (Anna Sue) of Surf City; his grandson Joshua Biggs; and his great grandchild Gabriel Biggs. He is also survived by one step-granddaughter and two step-grandsons.
