He is survived by: his wife Della Williams Carter of Bronx; his children, Cynthia Carter Burks (Greg) of Poughkeepsie and Randy Carter of Lakeland, Florida; his siblings, Mary Helen Spruill of Manson, Geraldine Kearney (James) of Warrenton, Shirley Carter of Norlina, Theodore Carter of Warrenton and William Carter of Norlina; his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Williams of Chapel Hill, Maxine Robinson of West Virginia, Rose Stewart, Joseph Williams of Bronx, John Williams (Mae) of Bronx and Larry Williams (Irma) of Bronx; and also, Liz Shuler of Manhattan and Josephine Hyman (John) of Bronx. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
