She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Street Kornegay and Effie Lee Smith Kornegay; and her siblings, Margaret Kornegay, Henry Street Kornegay, George Kornegay, Robert Kornegay, Eva Kornegay Uzzell and Matthew Kornegay.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Fowler (Teresa) of Pink Hill, Kathryn Fowler Rion (Tuck) of Loris, SC and Joseph Fowler of Farmville, NC; her grandchildren, Stephanie Fowler Dixon (Brian) of Naples, Fla., Ivy Boyette of Pink Hill, NC, Aubrey Rion (Rebekka) of Norwich, England, Hannah Rion Benjamin (Steve) of Gainesville and Quinton Fowler (Braxton Fowler); her great grandchildren, Adalynn Boyette, Henry Dixon, Wolfe Rion, Erik Boyette, Beatrix Rion and Cecelia Rion; her siblings-in-law, Madeline Kornegay of Wilmington, NC, Sallie Rumer of Blounts Creek, NC and Gerald Uzzell of Goldsboro, NC; and her friends, Nancy Wilson and Gwen Gobble. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at 1260 NC 24 NC-50, Warsaw, NC 28398.
