Clayton of Washington, North Carolina, born in McConnelsville, Ohio, who passed away on May 30, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Everette Clayton; her stepmother Clara Walters; her sons, Denzil Anderson, Sr. and Wayne Waters, Sr.; her granddaughter Rachel Elizabeth Hudnell; her brothers, Floyd J. and Jerry Hendershot; her stepsisters, Mabel Daugherty, Jean Love and Marcina Walters; and her stepson Marvin Ray Waters.
She is survived by: her daughter Ann Waters Hastings of Washington; her stepchildren, Denice Smith (Russell) of Washington, Terrie Harding (Wayne) of Chocowinity, Ricky Clayton (Trish) of Washington, Jeffery Clayton (Kelly) of Cape Canaveral, FL, Alton B. Waters (Mary) of Greenville and Gloria Williams of Jamesville; her grandchildren, Lisa Hansen (Aaron), Paula Turner (Jeff), Denzil Anderson, Jr. (Gwen), William Hudnell (Denise), Wade Hudnell (Megan), Michael Hudnell (Samantha), Wayne Waters, Jr. (Athena), Chris Waters (Samantha) and Brittany Elks (Justin); and her siblings, Sue Forshey (David) of Florida and Calvin Hendershot (Linda) of Ohio. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
