She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Austin and Vera Blake Beacham; her husband Jack Smith, Jr.; and her sister Vanessa Jennings. She is survived by: her children, Bobby Kelley (Rebecca) of Washington, Sharon Mullis (David) of Dallas, Susan Polen of Grimesland and Jack Smith, III; and her brother Henry Austin of Washington. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Paul Funeral Home - Washington (900 John Small Ave, Washington, NC 27889). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Soule Cemetery.
