He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie A Sr. Newby and Cherry Newby (Whitfield). He is survived by: his daughter Diana Newby-Boyd (Yusuf Boyd); his brothers, A. L. Newby (Glenda), Larry Newby (Amanda) and Keith Newby (Margot); and his grandsons, Braxton and Xander Boyd.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Homes Weddington Chapel (3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104).
