He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Boone and Bonnie Mills Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Rosamunde "Rose" Hooper Garrett; his children, Carl Wendell Garrett Jr. (Lana) of Dumfries, Nathan Stuart Garrett (Nancy) of Trenton, Charles Lyle Greer and Wendy Yvonne Stubblefield (Philip Jr.) of Arden, N. C.; his brother Gerald Garrett (Juanita) of Waynesville; his siblings' children, Bryan Garrett (Donna), Casey Holder, Cynthia Knight and Caryn Holder Luley (Tomas); his sister Marsha Holder (Hank) of Sylva; his close friends, Billy Mease of Canton and Perry McClure of Clyde; Johnny, Joyce Brooks, Lee, Brenda Ewart, Margie Arrwood, Machelle Samuel, Judy Bumgarner and Jocelyn Francis. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
