We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John Seward Jones of Waynesville, North Carolina, born in Auburn, New York. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Cuomo and John Paul Jones; his brother Richard Jones; and his grandson Andrew Hobbs. He is survived by: his wife Jean Jones; his children, Becky Hobbs (Gene), Katie McEwen (Josh), Susan O'steen (Bryan) and Jackie Jones; and his sister Cindy Jones. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Moose Lodge (74 George Dr, Waynesville, NC 28786).
