She was predeceased by: her father Stephen Denty; her grandfather Lawrence Denty; her great-grandparent Myrtle Van Zandt; her great-aunt Pat; and her great-uncle Bubba.

She is survived by: her daughter Madalyn Smith; her mother Karen Denty; her sisters, Morgan Denty, Jadyn Ashe (Jacob), Anne Bendall (Travis) and Sarah Denty; and her grandparents, Lou, Paulette Snyder and Merilyn Denty. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garrett Funeral Home (460 N Main St, Waynesville, NC 28786). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, love offerings for continued care of Lauren's daughter, Madalyn, may be sent to 4445 Signal Ridge Court, Buford, GA 30518.
