She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Houston and Dialphia Parker Houston; her granddaughter Shay Starnes; her siblings, Henry, Zack, Ike, Lee, Elbert, Garfield Houston, Ethel Stewart, Amanda Gregory, Flora Wood, Bertha Moss, Estelle Burnette, Ada Arvey, Lucy Norris and Allifair Clark; and her stepgreat-grandson Dillan Guy.
She is survived by : her children, Clifton Barnes (Patricia) of Waynesville, Barbara Parks (Ken) of Waynesville, Hoyt Barnes (Brenda) of Waynesville, Annette Barnes of Canton and Jeanette Barnes of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her grandchildren, David (Karen), Andy (Shannon) and Chris Barnes; and her great grandchildren, Melissa and Morgan Barnes. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
