It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jane Swanger of Waynesville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Glenn Putnam and Bertha Putnam; her husband Michael Swanger; her son Matthew Swanger (Michaela); her siblings, Wanda Parton (Ricky), Glenda Stewart (Steven) and Ted Putnam; her nephews, Trevor Parton, Steven Putnam and Samuel Stewart; and her son Joseph Swanger.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home - Waynesville (296 N Main St, Waynesville, NC 28786). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Johnathan Valley Baptist Church, 3817 Jonathan Creek Road, Waynesville, NC 28785.
