He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hensley and Juanita Hensley; his wife Brenda Lee Hensley; and his sister Teresa Ann Owle. He is survived by: his children, Crystal Young of Clyde, NC, James Hensley of Candler, NC and Jeremy Hensley of Clyde, NC; his siblings, Ella Dong, Scott Hensley, Anita Cope of Sylva, NC and Donald Hensley of Clyde, NC; and his grandson Jonathan Hensley.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hyatt Creek Freewill Baptist Church (50 Wyatt Ln, Waynesville, NC 28786). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
