Thomas left this world on October 29, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Bedford Fisher and Frances Moore Fisher; and his sister Teresa Gail. He is survived by: his wife Donna Polk Fisher; his sons, Derek Douglas Fisher (Jessica), Thomas Blake Fisher and Jason Dorn Fisher; his sister Brenda Fisher; and his grandchildren, Heidi Collins, Landon, Grant, Ella, Paxton, Savannah and Audrey Fisher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville (566 S Haywood St, Waynesville, NC 28786).
If preferred over flowers, the family suggests that donations can be made to First United Church Waynesville or to Lake Junaluska Assembly.
