Betty Massey Obituary

We bid farewell to Betty Massey of Weaverville, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Young and Elizabeth Henderson Young; and her husband Spencer Floyd Massey. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Shelton (Dallas), Floyd Massey (Virginia), Jeffrey Massey (Teresa) and Roger Massey (Rachel); her sister Mary Rice; and her grandchildren, Tony Shelton (Haley), Melody Laster (Tim), Megan Miller (Stephen), Crystal Miller (Tim), Danielle Keefer (Zachary), Samantha Ingle (Jonathan), George Massey, Joshua Massey (Tahrista), Hannah Massey and Rebekah Massey. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Marshall Community Baptist Church (2680 Bull Creek Rd, Marshall, NC 28753).
