She was predeceased by: her father George Melvin, Jr. of Washington; her husband Joe Lee Potts, Sr.; and her siblings, William Melvin and Loretta Gentry. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Y. Potts of Weaverville, Joseph Potts, Jr. (Annette) of Mills River and Timothy Potts of Weaverville; her grandchildren, Brandi Mullinax (Darren), Melodie Potts Rosevear (Sam) and Tiffany Cole (Joe Pittman); and her great grandchildren, Brittany, Gage, Megan and Harrison. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Compassionate Care of Yancey County, 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714, and wishes to express sincere gratitude for the wonderful care that they provided.
