With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Donald Yelton of Weaverville, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 26, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilma Duck Yelton and William Clarence Yelton; and his brother William Dwight Yelton. He is survived by : his pet Molly; his wife Deborah Metcalf Yelton; his siblings-in-law, Margie Yelton and Rodney Metcalf (Marcia); and also Bella. He is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, five great-nephews and two great-nieces; multiple cousins.
