He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Fredrick Paden and Irma Ennis; his wife Peggy Louise Paden; his stepson Jimmy Paden (LoriKay) of Asheville, N. C; and his grandchildren, Jolee Paden and Justen Paden (Laura). He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jolee Paden and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Washington DC.
