She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Lester Buckner and Ida Mae McHone Buckner; her brother Samuel Buckner; and her great grandchild Marcus Landon Sammons. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Briggs (Paul) of Fletcher, Wayne Sammons (Caroline) of Weaverville and Steve Sammons (Wanda) of Candler; her siblings, Patricia Fields (Tommy) of Weaverville and Ricky Buckner (Betty) of Weaverville; and her grandchildren, Charity Talley, Michael Sammons, Krysten Blanton, Zachary Briggs and Nicholas Sammons. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
