He is survived by: his wife Terry Jo McKay Lankford of Weaverville; his children, Riyan Lankford of Weaverville and Meaghan Smith; his son-in-law Colton Smith of Mars Hill; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn and Michael of Weaverville.
