He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Lee Mowery Sr. and Eunice Pearl Mowery (Allen); and his grandson Jaden Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Cristi Smith (Gene) of Elida, OH and Heather Richard; his grandchildren, Taylor Acaley (Garrett) of Marysville, OH, Kayla Carman (Nate), Tyler Smith, Bailee Mowery, Matthew Mears and Andrew Richard; his great grandchildren, Merritt Acaley and Sailor Acaley; and his siblings, Carol (John), Dorothy (Don) and Paul Mowery Jr. (Luana).
He was an avid shooter, member of the Virginia Shooting Club, and active in the Green Beret Foundation.
