He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Joseph G. Knighten, Sr. and Lillie Martin Knighten; his wife Debbie Purgason Knighten; his daughter Crystal Pyrtle (Jay) of Wentworth; his grandchildren, Tori Knight (Robert), Morgan Friddle, Joseph Knighten IV, Harlee Knighten, Reese Pyrtle, Wyatt Knighten and Hayden Pyrtle; and his great grandchild Gavin Knight.
