He was predeceased by : his wife Mozelle Bloodworth Parleir; his stepmother Mazel Parleir of Boone, NC; his son Michael Parleir; and his sisters, Dorothy Hartley and Edith Adkins.

He is survived by : his son Rev. Wayne Parleir (Liz) of Eden; his great grandchildren, Chasity Armstrong (Shane), Hunter Parleir, Nick Parleir, Amanda Brumble (Justin) and Cole Parleir (Eveliz); and his close friend Shirley Arney.
